What a lift kit does

A lift kit raises the whole truck, not just the front. On a TRX, which already sits high from the factory, the extra height is mostly about clearing larger tires.

Choosing a lift kit

• Lift height. More lift fits bigger tires, but it also raises the center of gravity. Pick the height your tire size and use actually need.
• Shocks. Check whether a kit works with the factory shocks or replaces them.

Before you order

• TRX-specific parts. The TRX has its own suspension, so parts for a standard RAM 1500 won't fit. Check the product title.
• Plan an alignment. A lift changes suspension and steering geometry, so have the alignment set after install.
