19-26 Silverado/Sierra 1500 Mid Travel Kits

Mid travel kits replace the upper control arms, front coilovers and rear shocks on a 2019-2026 Silverado or Sierra 1500. They level the truck and add wheel travel, so it rides better on and off road than a truck on spacers. LTW builds its kits around Mazzulla, Dirt King and LSK upper arms with King, Fox and Dirt King shocks, and also carries kits from Cognito.

Why it rides better than a leveling kit

Raising the front of a 1500 changes the angle of the factory upper ball joint, and that limits how far the wheel can drop. A spacer leveling kit gets the height but gives up some of that down travel, so the ride gets harsher over bumps. A mid travel kit replaces the upper arms with ones built for the new ride height and pairs them with longer-travel shocks front and rear, so the truck sits level and keeps its travel.

  • Level stance without trading away ride quality
  • More front wheel travel than a stock or spacer-leveled truck
  • New shocks front and rear so both ends of the truck are damped to match
  • Upper arms designed for the lifted ride height instead of factory arms working at the wrong angle

Choosing a kit

  • Upper arm material. Steel tube arms are the lower-cost option. Billet aluminum arms are machined from solid stock and sit at the top of the range.
  • Ball joint or uniball. A ball joint is quieter and needs less attention. A uniball allows more articulation and suits trucks driven hard off road.
  • Shock size and type. A larger shock body holds more oil, so it stays consistent for longer on rough roads. Remote reservoir and bypass shocks add capacity, and many add adjusters so you can tune the ride.
  • Rear height. A mid travel kit leaves the rear at stock height. If you want the rear raised too, add a rear lift, such as a leaf pack or block kit, where the kit offers one.

Before you order

  • AT4 and Trail Boss trucks sit higher from the factory, so the same kit gives them noticeably less lift than a standard 1500.
  • Adaptive Ride Control: many aftermarket coilovers can't be installed on trucks with ARC. If your truck has it, check the listing or call before ordering.
