07-18 Silverado/Sierra 1500 Long Travel

Long travel kits replace both the upper and lower control arms on a 2007-2018 Silverado or Sierra 1500, for the most wheel travel you can get from the front suspension. They're built for fast, rough driving and usually need some fabrication to install. LTW carries long travel kits, coilovers and bypass shocks from Dirt King, Mazzulla and Camburg, plus long travel axles and bed cages.

What sets long travel apart

A leveling or mid travel kit keeps the factory lower control arms, and those arms set the limit on how far the wheel can travel. A long travel kit replaces them with lower arms built for more travel, paired with new upper arms and larger shocks, so the truck stays planted over whoops, ruts and fast rough roads that would bottom out a stock suspension.

  • The most wheel travel of any suspension upgrade
  • New upper and lower arms designed to work together through the full range of travel
  • Room for bigger shocks so the suspension stays consistent on long, rough runs

Plan for the install

Long travel kits usually need modification or fabrication to install, such as cutting, welding or trimming. Plan for that before you order, and have the work done by a shop that has installed long travel before.

Before you order

  • Check what's included. Axles, tie rods, shocks and rear suspension parts come with some kits and are sold separately for others. The listing says what's in the box.
  • 2WD or 4WD. 4WD trucks need front axles made for the kit. Check the kit title and listing for drive type.
